In Indonesia, the under-five mortality rate caused by diarrhea reaches 1.5 million per year. The largest incidence occurs in the first 2 years of life and decreases as the child grows. In the city of Padangsidimpuan, the diarrhea morbidity rate was 4,556. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers with the incidence of diarrhea in the children's room at RSUD Padangsdimpuan in 2020. This type of research is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlation design, because the researcher wants to see the relationship between independent and dependent variables using a cross-sectional approach. Because in this study it was observed in the same period (time). The population in this study were 48 mothers who had toddlers,sampled and the sampling technique was total sampling, namely 48 mothers. Data analysis in this study is univariate and bivariate. The statistical test for bivariate analysis was the chi-square test. Conclusion of the study there are relationship between respondent knowledge and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five at the children's room hospital in 2020 with a P value of 0.024, there is a relationship between the attitude of the respondent and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five at the children's room hospital in 2020 with a P value of 0.000.
