dc.description.abstract | Infant Mortality Rate is one indicator of health that included to target of Millenium Development Goals (MDGs). The higher of infant mortality rate can be raised on neonatal period, here, it is on 28 days of birth. The data of WHO (World Health Organization) is about 80% of death’s neonatal and it is affected by the low birth weight. This research is aimed to know the correlation of age and mother’s parity with low birth weight phenomena in job-desk area of local Government Clinic of Sayurmatinggi in the year 2021. Then the cross-sectional study approach is taken into this research. The total sampling is taken to get the sample with 32 mothers and the technique for collecting data is the using of quessionare. The result of this research shows that 18 mothers from 20 mothers (90%) with < 21 and > 35 years old are noted by the low birth weight about pvalue=0,006, then 21 mothers from 24 mothers (87,5%) with parity ≥ 5 get the low birth weight about p-value=0,002 (p < 0,05). Here, there is correlation of age and mother’s parity with the low birth weight phenomena. Then it is expected to raise the awareness of the society about having information about the risks and the factors of the low birth weight. | en_US |
