Research Report, August 2019 Hera Mailin Harahap The Relationship between Characteristics of Pregnant Women and Knowledge of Hazard Signs in Pregnancy in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency, 2020 ABSTRACT Knowledge of danger signs in pregnancy is very helpful in reducing MMR, because by knowing the danger signs of pregnancy, a pregnant woman will find a place for health services more quickly so that risks in pregnancy can be detected and treated early. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of pregnant women and the knowledge of danger signs in pregnancy in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency in 2020. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study approach design. The population in this study were 62 pregnant women who were in the Batang Pane II Public Health Center Work Area, East Halongonan District, Paluta Regency. The sample in this study were 62 pregnant women who were in the working area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency using the total sampling method. The analysis used is the Chi Square test. The results of this study indicate that age (p = 0.001), education (p = 0.000), employment status (p = 0.002), parity (p = 0.000) are associated with knowledge of pregnancy danger signs. The conclusion is that the characteristics of pregnant women are related to knowledge of danger signs in pregnancy. Suggestions for pregnant women to pay more attention to knowledge about danger signs in pregnancy. Keywords : Characteristics, Pregnancy Hazard Signs Bibliography : 35 (2010-2019)
