Abstract: PROGRAM STUDI KEBIDANAN PROGRAM SARJANA FAKULTAS KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS AUFA ROYHAN DI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN Laporan Penelitian, Agustus 2020 Hera Yanti Rambe Faktor Penyebab Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) Pada Bayi di RSUD Kota Padangsidimpuan Tahun 2020 Abstract The Low Birth Weight Rate (BBLR) in Indonesia still high at 14% in 2019. The purpose of this research was to analyze causative factor Low birth weight (BBLR) in Babies at the General Hospital In Padangsidimpuan. The research method was quantitative by design cross sectional study. The research was carried out at the General Hospital In Padangsidimpuan against 170 namely mothers who give birth to babies at the General Hospital Of Padangsidimpuan in January until December 2019 with a sample of 119 people. The Data analysis used was Chi Square. The results showed there was a relationship between the nutritional status of the mother p value 0.021, knowledge of p value 0.001, a history of infectious diseases (worms) p value 0.020 distance birth p value 0.032, family income p value 0.016, and what kind of food p value 0.001 with the cause of Low Birth Weight (BBLR) at the General Hospital In Padangsidimpuan. The results of this study recommend the government Hopefully as input to define policies and priorities in arrange program decreased morbidity and mortality due to BBLR. To health workers in obstetrics and gynecology in order to further improve counseling for pregnant women about its importance examination of pregnant women periodically (antenatal care) to detect early the health of the mother and the fetus in the womb.
