Almost all women experience discomfort during menstruation such as discomfort in the lower abdomen. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between health behavior and dysmenorrhea management in young women at Syekh Ahmad Basyir Islamic boarding school in South Tapanuli Regency in 2020. This study used quantitative research with a cross sectional study design. The population and sample were all young women at the aliyah level at Syekh Ahmad Basyir Islamic Boarding School and the total sample was 40 teenagers. Processing and data analysis using the chi-square. The results showed that knowledge (p = Value: 0.014), attitude (p = Value: 0.015) were associated with the treatment of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls (p = Value <0.05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the treatment of dysmenorrhea.
