Abstract Given the importance of sleep time for a baby’s development, his sleep needs must be met so as not to adversely affect his development. The need for sleep is not only seen from the aspect of quantity but also in quality. If the quality of the baby’s sleep is good, the baby’s growth and development can be achieved optimaly, one way is baby massage. Babies who are massaged will be able to sleep soundly, while when they wake up, their concentration will be fuller. One way baby massage. Reasesrch interviewd 10 infant mothers. It was found that 7 baby mothers never massaged their babies and 3 baby mothers never massaged their babies. Babies massage is a massage that is carried out more closly with fine strokes or tactile stimulation that is carried out on the surface of the skin, manipulation of tissues or organs in the body aims to produce an effect on the muscle nerves and respiratory system and improve blood circulation. This study aims to analyze the effect of baby massage on sleep quality for infants aged 3-6 monts in the UPTD Puskesmas Longat work Area. This reaserch used one group pretest-postest design. The study population was infants aged 3-6 months. The sample was 30 infants aged 3-6 months, with total sampling. Independent variable baby massage and dependent variable sleep quality for infants aged 3-6 months. The reasech instrument used a questionnaire. The resuts showed that the quality of sleep for infants aged 3-6 months before being given baby massage, the majority were less than 26 respondens (86,6%) and the quality of sleep for babies aged 3-6 months after baby massage was mostly good as many as 22 respondents (73,3%). Wilcoxon statistical test shows that the significant value of p-value = 0,02 <α (0,05), so that Ha is accepted. The conclusion of the study, which means that there is an effect of baby massage on sleep quality for infants aged 3-6 months in the UPTD Puskesmas Longat.
