dc.description.abstractTHE EFFECT OF OXYTOSIN MASSAGE ON THE FOUNDATION IN POSTPARTUM MOTHER IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE LUMUT PUSKESMAS IN CENTRAL TAPANULI DISTRICT 2020 ABSTRACK The non-flow of milk is a problem experienced by Mothers breast feeding. One of the causes of non-smooth production of breast Milk is a decrease in milk production on the first day after child birth. It can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones Oxytocin and prolactin, which play a very important role in the smooth production of breast milk, to remove breast Milk requires an effort in the form of oxytocin massage. The purpose of this research was to Analyze the effect of oxytocin massage on the smoothness of breast feeding in postpartum Mothers in the work area of the Lumut Public Health Center, Tapanuli Tengah Regency 2020. This type of research was quantitative with a Quasy experimental design. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who experienced unsustainable breastfeeding in the Work Area of the Lumut Public Health Center, Tapanuli Tengah Regency, in 2020 a total of 21 mothers. The sample consisted of 19 mothers with the Wilcoxon Test. The independent variable is fluency before oxytocin massage. The dependent variable is the fluency of breastfeeding after oxytocin massage in postpartum mothers. Collecting data using observation sheets and questionnaires. Data processing techniques used editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and statistical tests using the Wilcoxont statistical test. The results of this study were obtained from 19 respondents, the average fluency of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers before the oxytocin massage in the work area of Lumut Public Health Center, Lumut District, Central Tapanuli Regency in 2020 was 4.6316 (less fluent), while the average fluency of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers after the oxytocin massage in The working area of the Lumut Public Health Center, Lumut District, Central Tapanuli Regency in 2020 is 8.0526 (Current). Wilcoxon shows that the p value = o, ooo <a (0.05) so that Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that there is an effect of oxytocin massage on the smoothness of breastfeeding in the working area of the Lumut Public Health Center, Lumut District, Central Tapanuli Regency in 2020.
