GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT ETNIS BATAK TENTANG PENYEBAB HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SITINJAK ANGKOLA BARAT TAHUN 2021

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension is defined as a state with systolic pressure continuously > 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure > 90 mmHg (Sulastri, 2015). Hypertension is also known as the “silent killer” because hypertension can have someone for years. The purpose of this research to know the knowledge of the community about hypertension. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive design. The population in this study as many as 635 people. Sampling technique by using purposive sampling technique, sample in this study totaling 86 people with hypertension, The data collection done by distributing questionnaires. Univariate data analysis in the frequency distribution. The conclusion research results obtained based on the respondent's level of knowledge with good category namely 7 respondents (8.1%), respondents with sufficient category 29 respondents (33.7%), respondents with less category 50 respondents (58.1%). The result of this study can be used as information and increase knowledge about the causes of hypertension. Keywords : Knowledge, Batak Ethnicity, Hypertension
