dc.description.abstract | STUDY OF NURSING PROGRAM UNIVERSITY OF AUFA ROYHAN SCHOOL PADANGSIDIMPUAN Research Report, July 2020 Wahda Mufliha THE EFFECT OF THE DECOCTION OF THE CROWN GOD FRUIT ON THE REDUCTION OF BLOOD PRESSURE IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS AT THE PADANGMATINGGI HEALTH CENTER Abstract Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg at two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of sufficient rest. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of the decoction of the fruit of the crown god to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. This type of research used quantitative using a quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest and posttest design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The population was 371 people and the sample were 23 respondents. The results of data analysis using the Wilxocon test in this study showed the effect of the crown god decoction on blood pressure reduction in patients with hypertension with a mean value before intervention 115 and intervention value after 99.26 The results of this study showed the influence of the crown god stew on blood pressure reduction in patients with hypertension with a p value of 0,000. The results of the researchers are expected to be implemented as a useful alternative treatment for reducing blood pressure in addition to pharmacological treatment.
