Abstract Background: Stunting is low body growth, so that the child's height is not proportional to his age. The incidence of stunting in Indonesia is still high and has not reached the government's target. Several risk factors that are suspected of causing stunting are economic status and maternal education level. Purpose: To determine the relationship between economic status and maternal education level with the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Method: Quantitative research with an observational analytical approach conducted on 97 mothers and toddlers aged 2-5 years with a sampling technique using convenience sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires on the economic status and education level of mothers and anthropometric examinations. Data analysis used was the univariate and bivariate Chi-Square test. Results: Respondents with low economic status were 58 respondents (59.8%) and those with high education were 69 respondents (71.1%). Toddlers who experienced stunting were 31 toddlers (31.9%). There was a relationship between economic status (p = 0.027) and maternal education level (p = 0.001) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between economic status and maternal education level with the incidence of stunting in toddlers.
