Abstract: | Abstract Background: Sexuality is an important part of life. However, treatment for cancer patients such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery and hormone therapy can affect sexuality in cancer patients. Physical, psychological, and social changes, both acute and long-term, can affect the sexual health of cancer patients. Nurses have an important role in helping overcome sexual problems faced by cancer patients. Purpose: To assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions on the sexual quality of life of cancer patients. Method: Non-systematic literature review to analyze published articles. The search was carried out on five databases, namely ProQuest, Science Direct, PubMed, Embase, and Taylor & Francis in the 2013-2023 period. Selection of articles using the PRISMA flow diagram to evaluate the impact of nursing interventions on sexual problems in cancer patients. . Results: 2.296 articles were identified and 10 relevant articles were obtained for analysis regarding nursing interventions that can help overcome sexual problems in cancer patients, such as consultation, physical therapy, psychological therapy and health education. Conclusion: Nurse intervention significantly improves the quality of sexual life of cancer patients thereby reducing levels of depression and anxiety.
