Abstract: Abstract Background: Complementary therapy is part of a nursing intervention that is simple and has no side effects but provides great benefits for cancer patients who experience side effects from chemotherapy treatment that cancer patients undergo. Purpose: To determine and analyze complementary therapies that can be applied to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Method: Literature review search from various online databases from 2018-2023, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, and ScienceDirect, with the search keywords "Nursing interventions AND Complementary Therapy AND Cancer Patients AND Chemotherapy". This literature analysis uses guidelines from PRISMA and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Result: From the study and review of 10 selected journals, that nursing intervention with a complementary therapy approach had a significant impact in overcoming the side effects caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients. Conclusion: Nursing intervention with a complementary therapy approach provide a significant impact in overcoming the side effects caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients. Suggestion: Various surgical interventions are useful in overcoming side effects in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, one of which is evidence-based nursing practice (EBNP) and is applied in clinical practice. In addition, this independent nursing intervention can be carried out directly by the nurse to the patient. Keywords: Cancer; Chemotherapy; Complementary Therapy.
