Abstract: | Abstract Background: Workers have nutritional adequacy rates that must be met and differ for each individual because it depends on body condition and workload. Upstream oil and gas workers have a heavy workload and are at risk of exposure to very dangerous chemicals in the long term, so workers must also pay attention to the food they eat to maintain balanced nutrition and maximize health. Purpose: To find out the benefits of processed river or freshwater fish in fulfilling nutrition for workers in upstream oil and gas companies. Method: Systematic literature review research related to the nutritional content of various types of freshwater fish with a focus on nutrients such as protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. There are four steps in conducting a review, namely formulating the problem, searching for various relevant literature sources, evaluating the data that has been obtained, and analyzing and interpreting it. Results: Processed river or freshwater fish such as catfish, snakehead, tilapia, gourami, toman, betutu, tilapia fulfill the daily consumption of good protein, fat and vitamins because their nutritional content is protein which averages 18 to 20 grams per 100 grams. grams and fat from 1 to 3 grams, where daily you must consume around 60 to 70 grams of protein and 50 to 75 grams of total fat depending on the condition of each worker. Apart from that, the nutritional content of freshwater fish can minimize problems such as exposure to benzene. Conclusion: River fish can be used as food to fulfill the nutrition of upstream oil and gas workers because of its nutritional content which can reduce inflammation caused by exposure to chemicals while working.
