Title: COMMUNITY-BASED ECOTOURISM IN PROTECTED AREAS TOWARDS INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT: AN EVIDENCE OF BHITARKANIKA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY OF INDIA
Authors: Mohanty, Patita Paban; Patra, Soumendra Kumar; Kunjuraman, Velan; Pathak, Dhiraj
Abstract: Community-based ecotourism (CBET) is one of the tourism segments used to protect the natural environment
by the host communities in many countries; however, empirical studies involving active involvement,
understanding, and level of satisfaction of the community and tourists in various ecotourism projects are still
scarce in the context of developing countries. Thus, this study empirically examines the potential of
community-based ecotourism in and around the Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary (BKWS) from the
perspectives of the community and tourists in Odisha, India. Primary data were collected through a structured
questionnaire prepared based on an expert view. In this study, both descriptive and exploratory research
designs were considered the most appropriate. A total of 470 respondents participated in this study.
Cronbach’s α was used to ensure reliability and validity of the instrument used for the survey. Data analysis
was performed using SPSS 23.0. Collected data were tested for outliers using stem and leaf chart analysis,
and all data were normally distributed for further analysis. Finally, a clear picture of the study was drawn
based on the analysis and interpretation. The ANOVA (F-test) results demonstrated that community-based
ecotourism was quite significant for inclusive development and conservation practices, as supported by all
five statistically significant explanatory factors. The one-way ANOVA test for Hypothesis 1 found that
community-based eco-tourism can be leveraged as a unique selling point (USP) to boost tourism in Odisha.
Furthermore, one-way ANOVA was used to test the second hypothesis, which demonstrated that communitybased ecotourism raises awareness within the local population about the importance of protecting Odisha's
tourism resources. Similarly, the t-test results demonstrated that tourists and communities do not differ
significantly in terms of satisfaction with event settings, art and craft, performance, infrastructure, guide
services, and information. The findings of the study revealed that CBET was a major tool for promoting
Odisha Tourism and creating awareness among the local community for the conservation of protected areas
to embrace sustainability. Practical implications have been suggested for policy improvement in Odisha
Tourism.

ANTHROPOMORPHISM AND AUTHENTICITY: EXPLORING THE DYNAMICS OF VIRTUAL INFLUENCERS IN CONTEMPORARY MARKETING

Title: ANTHROPOMORPHISM AND AUTHENTICITY: EXPLORING THE DYNAMICS OF VIRTUAL INFLUENCERS IN CONTEMPORARY MARKETING
Authors: Wasti, Claudya; Ellizabeth, Gabriella; Adhyatma, Muhammad Izdihar; Maulana, Amalia E.
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of Virtual Influencers (VIs) on consumer behaviour and their
implications for brands. The objective is to understand how consumers perceive and interact with VIs
compared to traditional human influencers. Findings reveal that VIs offer unique advantages, including
constant availability, adaptability, and cost-effectiveness, which can enhance brand engagement. However,
concerns about authenticity, trustworthiness, and ethical implications persist. Utilizing anthropomorphism
theory, the study demonstrates that brands can foster consumer connection and trust by imbuing VIs with
human-like traits. Detailed analysis indicates that while VIs can effectively engage consumers, the perceived
lack of authenticity poses a challenge. Nevertheless, when VIs are strategically integrated into marketing
campaigns, they can significantly influence consumer behaviour and brand perception. Ultimately, these
insights enable companies to develop targeted marketing strategies, leveraging VIs to shape consumer culture
and brand narratives effectively. This research underscores the potential of VIs in modern marketing,
providing a framework for brands to navigate the evolving digital landscape.

INTRADAY RETURN OF WINNERS VS LOSERS: INDONESIAN CAPITAL MARKET EVIDENCE

Title: INTRADAY RETURN OF WINNERS VS LOSERS: INDONESIAN CAPITAL MARKET EVIDENCE
Authors: Hamidi, Masyhuri; Adrianto, Fajri; Putra, Eko Dwi; Jamal, Amer Azlan Abdul
Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine intraday returns in the Indonesian capital market, using sample of 177
listed Indonesian companies from 2021-2022. This study adopts a multiple linear regression analysis, where
the return of the last half hour as an endogenous variable consists of winners and losers, the return of the first
half hour of trading, the volume of the first half hour, overnight returns, and the USA index futures as an
exogenous variable. The originality of this research aims to demonstrate empirical evidence on intraday
returns by distinguishing winner & loser stocks and the relationship between the intraday returns of winners
and losers with volume, overnight, and US index futures in the emerging market (Indonesia). We find that the
first half hour of trading can impact future return. The return of the first thirty minutes is significantly positive
on the return of the last thirty minutes for both winner and loser stocks. Further, the volume of the first half
hour and the overnight return both positively influences on the last half hour return of the day for loser stocks.
This study can offer valuable insights for investment portfolio strategies, especially regarding intraday returns.
The findings of this research prove to be a valuable resource for investors when devising investment strategies
in the stock market. Additionally, it provides guidance for regulators in establishing rules for stock trading,
particularly in transactions involving trading robots.

Title: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY AND STABILITY OF CRAB–SHRIMP FARMING MODEL IN MEKONG DELTA, VIETNAM
Authors: Ngoc, Danh Le; Hoai, Nhan Doan; Van, Tac Nguyen; Thi Bich, Hien Nguyen
Abstract: The study is conducted with the goal of analyzing the financial efficiency of 308 crab - shrimp farming
households in the Mekong Delta, finding factors that affect financial efficiency and the extent of their
influence on farm household income. Research results show that extensive crab-shrimp farming households
are highly effective. With the average cost of investment in production during the crab farming process of
2,051 thousand VND/1,000m2, the average revenue brought from farming Crab farming of 5,099 thousand
VND/1,000m2, farmers have an average profit of about 3,020 thousand VND/1,000m2. The average value of
the financial ratios shows that the production model in the Mekong Delta is financially effective, the average
value of the revenue/cash cost is 8.08, profit/total costs is 2.31, net income/cash costs is 7.08, and profit
/revenue is 0.37. Factors affecting the profits of extensive mud crab farmers consist of three influencing
factors: Area, crab/total crab ratio, and farmers in Kien Giang Province. Additionally, the number of years of
farming experience has an influence, but its impact is not statistically significant
