Abstract: Gamma-oryzanol is a natural antioxidant compounds derived from rice bran oil. Gamma-oryzanol is known to protects the skin from Ultra-violet radiation and increase skin moisture. Therefore, its application in the cosmetics is both antiwrinkle and as moisturizer. There are two main components that determine characteristic and physical stability of emulgel, the emulsifier and gelling agent. The aim of this research was to identify the influence of Carbopol 940 concentration as a gelling agent to physical properties of the emulgel gamma-oryzanol. The concentration of carbopol 940 in the formulation were 0,5% (F1), 0,75% (F2) and 1% (F3). Physical properties of the emulgel gamma-oryzanol  were determined by organoleptic, average globule diameter, pH, viscosity and flow properties, spreading ability and sentrifugation. Evaluation of the physical stability was conducted at three different temperature namely low temperature, room temperature and high temperature (4 o C, 26±2 o C dan 40 o C) respectively,  cycling test and centrifugation test. The result shown that variation of Carbopol 940 concentration was influenced of physical properties emulgel gamma-oryzanol. Carbopol 940 had influences on the physical properties in the formed of viscosity enhancement, decreased spreading ability and increased globul size of emulgel. Determination of physical stability showed insignificant changes in all formulations. Sentrifugation test result showed that F2 was the most stable formulation.</summary>

Abstract: L-asparaginase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes L-asparagine into L-aspartate and ammonia, which can treat Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Determination of the 3D structure of L-asparaginase from various sources can provide important information in understanding the biochemical properties and functions of L-asparaginase at the molecular level for the search for alternative L-asparaginase as a therapeutic protein. This study aimed to predict the 3D structure of L-asparaginase II from the marine bacterium Vibrio sp. AND4 with E.coli L-asparaginase II mutant (T12V) in complex with L-Asn at pH 7.0 [Escherichia coli K-12] (PDB ID: 6PA9) as structure template using homology modelling method with the SWISS-MODEL program. The research produces a 3D structure model with a Sequence identity of 70.55%, has a QMEANDisCo value of 0.86±0.05, and a GMQE value of 0.86. There are 93.1% residues in the most favoured regions and 0.3% residues in disallowed regions in the Ramachandran plot, with G-Factors of -0.08, which fulfils the requirements of ideal structural quality.</summary>

Abstract: The brain is a nerve center that is very influential on the child's response to see, hear, think, and make movements. Disruption of cognitive function results in stunted development of growth and affects the quality of the growth period of intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine the best concentration of the combination of Centella asiatica extract and Moringa oleifera extract in improving memory function and learning. The method used is the Radial 8-arm maze test which is used to determine the presence of brain disorders in the form of deficits in learning and memory and using passive avoidance tests to determine memory and cognitive function of the brain. Brain histopathology was examined by counting the number of neuron cells in CA 1, CA 3 and DG. The test results showed that the combination of Centella asiatica extract and Moringa oleifera extract in a 1:1 ratio improved memory and learning functions. Brain histopathology results showed that the combination of extracts was safe to use.</summary>

Abstract: ropolis has been widely published on  its immunostimulant activity. Due to its poor solubility and bioavailability, nano formulation may resolve its problem. A study found that SNEDDS propolis enhanced its immunostimulant activity, but also raised its toxicity event. So, this study is designed to evaluate the acute toxicity effect on SNEDDS propolis. Using the standard method OECD 425, male Wistar rats were employed in this study. The assay started with a limit test (dose 2000 mg/kg BW) followed by a main test with starting dose of 175 mg/kg BW using factor 1.3. Intensive observation of toxic clinical signs was performed and continued by periodic observation for 14 days. At the end of the study, the rats were sacrificed and had their liver and kidneys for histopathological examination. Based on the result, there were no toxic clinical signs found nor reduction on animal body weight. The LD50 value was &gt; 2000 mg/kg BW. There were no abnormalities on both histopathological observation of liver and kidneys. In conclusion, the SNEDDS propolis was not toxic on male Wistar rats (po).</summary>
