Authors: Ihsan Utami, Syafiah; Juniarti*, Neti; Hara Permana, Ryan
Abstract: Abstract
Background: Adolescents are one of the groups with a high level of smartphone use. Excessive use can cause
various impacts, both physical and mental. One of the factors that can influence smartphone use is self-control
because it can make teenagers have control over themselves to maintain good behavior in everyday life, including
when using smartphones.
Purpose: To determine self-control of smartphone use in students grade X
Method: Descriptive research design with a quantitative approach to self-control of smartphone use in grade X
students of state senior high school 2 Majalaya totaling 210 students. The instrument used in this study was a
questionnaire sheet containing 20 items and has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis used was
univariate analysis presented in the form of a frequency distribution.
Results: A total of 155 respondents (73.2%) had high self-control over smartphone use and 55 respondents
(26.8%) had low self-control. This shows that the majority of respondents have good awareness of smartphone use
and are able to manage it wisely.
Conclusion: Respondents' self-control over smartphone use tends to be good because most respondents have
awareness and are able to manage it wisely.
Suggestion: It is hoped that teenagers can set time limits for daily smartphone use by determining certain times
for online activities and avoiding excessive use beyond the specified time limit.

Title: Manfaat aktivitas fisik berbasis komunitas terhadap penderita diabetes mellitus: A scoping review
Authors: Ulfi Ariyanti, Rahmania
Abstract: Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia. Type 2 DM occurs due
to impaired insulin secretion that causes insulin resistance, occurs in 90-95% of diabetes cases and is often found in
obese patients. Providing long-term, supervised community-based interventions can improve physical fitness and
physical activity in people with DM.
Purpose: To review and evaluate the benefits of providing a community-based exercise program to reduce HbA1c
levels in people with DM.
Method: Scoping review using PRISMA diagram. Research data collection through Google Scholar, PubMed, and
Sciencedirect databases published in 2013-2023.
Results: There was a decrease in HbA1c levels and an increase in fitness in DM patients who underwent a
community-based exercise program of aerobic exercise type with endurance in the heart rate range associated with
VO2 max 65% - 85% and a moderate to strong intensity range.
Conclusion: Community-based exercise programs are indicated to reduce HbA1c levels in DM patients.
Suggestion: This literature review is expected to be a reference in providing types of community-based exercise in the
form of aerobic exercise programs or a combination of community-based aerobic and strengthening exercise programs
carried out for a duration of 150 minutes in one week, with moderate to high intensity adjusted to the conditions of DM
participants.

Authors: Aulia*, Putri; Widodo, Arif
Abstract: Abstract
Background: Recorded violent behavior causes mental health cases to be frequently encountered in mental
hospitals. The role of nurses in providing comprehensive services is very necessary to help patients control
themselves. Every nurse must have the will to handle patients who behave violently.
Purpose: To determine the relationship between nurse characteristics and readiness to handle patients with
violent behavior.
Method: Quantitative with a correlational approach to the characteristics of nurses in dealing with patients with
violent behavior. The population is all nurses at the Regional Mental Hospital, Dr. Arif Zainuddin Surakarta with a
sample size of 50 respondents using total sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was a
questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-square statistical test.
Results: Each nurse characteristic such as age, gender, education and length of service has a p-value <0.05,
which means it has a significant relationship with readiness to handle patients with violent behavior in mental
hospitals.
Conclusion: The higher age group, male gender, nurse education level, and work experience of more than 5
years are the groups most prepared to handle patients with violent behavior compared to other groups for each
variable.
Suggestion: Further research on other nursing factors that may be related to readiness in dealing with violent
behavior in patients with mental disorders is needed to obtain broader data as material for evaluating the nursing
profession.

Authors: Asri Siti Aminah, Ronaa; Porusia, Mitoriana
Abstract: Abstract
Background: Excessive and continuous workload can cause physical and mental fatigue. Fatigue is a physical
and mental condition that results in a decrease in a person's performance and endurance at work. Fatigue can
cause reduced motivation to work because it has an impact on a person's psychological condition, and can even
make a person stop working because they are unable to continue their duties. Factors such as lack of rest, poor
health, and high workload can lead to burnout at work.
Purpose: To determine the factors related to work fatigue in production workers.
Method: Descriptive quantitative research with a cross sectional approach to identify factors related to work fatigue.
The population in this study were all production workers at the Batik X Company. The independent variables in this
research are length of service, gender, and work climate, while the dependent variable is work fatigue. The
instruments used were questionnaire sheets and air measuring instruments, while data analysis used univariate
and bivariate chi-square tests.
Results: There were 15 (83.3%) workers who had worked <5 years with mild levels of fatigue, while 75 (86.4%)
respondents who had worked ≥ 5 years experienced moderate levels of fatigue. A total of 35 (53.1%) male workers
experienced moderate level of fatigue, while 31 (46.9%) female workers experienced mild fatigue. Workers with a
work climate that did not comply with NAB experienced moderate fatigue as many as 34 (52.5%) respondents,
while workers with an appropriate work climate experienced moderate fatigue as many as 32 (48.5%) respondents.
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between length of service, gender, and work climate with work
fatigue as shown by the results of the statistical test p-value = 0.000 (< 0.05).
Suggestion: Workers must understand the limits of their abilities or body condition in carrying out daily work
activities and get into the habit of stretching their muscles between working hours so that blood circulation remains
stable, while companies should conduct regular work climate surveys to identify problems that occur.
